We are preparing our small fiber mill to open and look forward to helping you turn your treasured fleece into something beautiful.

Whether you raise sheep, Angora goats, or other fiber animals, we understand the time and care that go into producing natural fiber. Our goal is to help you make the most of your fleece by transforming it into beautiful roving and yarn, ready for your next creative project.

Custom Fiber Processing

Our Services & Customer Guidelines

- Once we officially open, we plan to offer custom fiber processing services to help turn your raw fleece into beautiful roving and yarn.

-Please review the following guidelines before submitting your fiber in the future.

1. Appointments & Order Forms

-We will accept custom processing orders by appointment only.

-A completed Custom Processing Order Form will be required with every order.

-Each separate processing job will require its own order form.

-Customers will need to label their bags clearly and match them to their order forms.

-Our minimum charge will apply to each individual order.

-Please also review and sign our Terms & Conditions form before submitting your fiber.

-Please remember that we are not accepting orders until our official opening announcement.

2. Preparing Your Fiber

-Proper fiber preparation helps us achieve the best possible results.

-Skirting: Please skirt your fleece before bringing it to us or shipping it.

-No wood-chip bedding: We cannot accept fleece containing wood chips because they can damage our machinery.

-Minimum staple length: Your fiber must have a staple length of at least 3 inches.

-No pests: We cannot accept fiber containing lice or moths.

-Excessive skirting: Fiber requiring extensive additional skirting will incur a fee of $40 per hour.

-Please place your fiber in clear plastic bags and label each bag clearly.

3. Fiber Types & Processing Results

-We plan to work with suitable animal fibers, including:

-Sheep's wool

-Alpaca

-Mohair

-Angora goat fiber

-Other suitable animal fibers

-Different fibers have different characteristics, and processing results can vary.

-Some fibers may require blending with wool or another suitable fiber to process successfully. If blending is necessary, we will contact you to discuss the available options and additional costs before proceeding.

-Although we will do our best to produce high-quality results, we cannot guarantee a particular outcome because every fleece is different.

-We reserve the right to refuse fiber that is unsuitable for processing.

4. Planned Processing Services

-Depending on the fiber type and service requested, our planned services may include:

-Fiber scouring (washing)

-Picking and fiber preparation

-Carding

-Roving preparation

-Spinning into yarn

-Available services will be confirmed when we officially open.

5. Minimum Order

-We plan to require a 3-pound minimum charge per processing order.

-Each separate job will be subject to its own minimum charge.

-Our processing prices and payment details will be provided before orders are accepted.

6. Payment Policy

-Our planned payment policy requires a 50% deposit when an order is accepted, with the remaining balance due when processing is complete.

-Customers will be responsible for shipping costs, including return shipping for finished products.

-Final payment and order procedures will be confirmed before our official opening.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

-Our planned policy allows cancellations only before processing begins. Refunds will not be available for completed processing orders or finished products, subject to applicable law.

-Full terms will be provided before customers submit their orders.

8. Drop-Off & Shipping

-We plan to accept fiber through scheduled drop-offs and shipping.

-Drop-offs will require an appointment. Please contact us before visiting.
